Certified in Anesthesiology by The American Board of Anesthesiology
with Added Qualifications in Pain Management

Dr. Kraus obtained his medical degree from The University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis in 1982. He completed his medicine internship at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis in1983 and his anesthesiology residency at University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis in 1985. After completing his residency in 1985 he entered private practice in anesthesiology and pain management in Memphis.

Dr. Kraus took time off from his private practice in 1994 and completed a pain fellowship at University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina. He returned to Memphis after completing his pain fellowship and he has been in private practice in interventional pain management at the Memphis Pain Clinic since then. Special interests include interventional pain procedures for cervical, thoracic, and lumbar pain, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, spinal cord stimulation, and opiate management for chronic pain. He is board certified in anesthesiology and pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Kraus is licensed in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee. In 2011 and 2014, he was named one of the “Top Doctors in Memphis” by Memphis Magazine and, in 2012, he was named one of the Top 224 Pain Management Specialists in the United States by U.S. News and World Report.

Radiologic Technologist

Taylor was born in Memphis and raised in Collierville, TN.  She is a 1998 graduate of Collierville H.S.  She has been working in Radiology since 2001 and she has been specializing in Pain Management since 2003. She has been working exclusively with Dr. Kraus since 2008. She is an active member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and she received certification from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in 2001. Taylor is married with two children.

Certified Medical Office Manager, Medical Secretary, and Clinical Specialist

Dannette was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She is a 1973 graduate of Hamilton H.S.  Dannette has been working in the medical field since 1974. She first worked at St. Francis Hospital as a medical assistant, unit secretary, monitor technician, and surgery scheduler. She began working for Dr. Alan J. Kraus in 1995 in the field of pain management as a medical office manager, medical secretary, and clinical specialist. She received certification from The Practice Management Institute as a Medical Office Manager in 2001. Dannette is married with one child.


Clinical Specialist/Medical Transcriptionist

June was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She is a 1987 graduate of Sheffield H.S. She has worked in the medical field since 1990 first as a medical secretary and transcriptionist in the field of neurosurgery for eight years. She has worked with Dr. Kraus since 1999 in the field of pain management as a secretary, receptionist, transcriptionist, and clinical specialist. June is married with one child.
